Local Bay Area Farm Tour

Come see a Bay Area farm!

Did you know that right in the middle of Sunnyvale, there is a farm? And it is only 3 years old! It is ran by a non profit and provides fresh fruit and vegetables to Santa Clara Unified School District cafeterias.

Come and join a group of gardeners on a farm tour at the Sunnyvale’s Full Circle Farm on the 14th of March, Sunday, at noon. The tour will last 1.5 hour and costs $7 per person, charged by the farm (please bring cash or check, as the farm does not take credit cards).  Here are more details of what to expect from the source:

“Our tours on the farm and in the garden include a variety of hands-on educational activities. Tours last about 90 minutes consist of explorations through the farm crop rows, a tasting tour through our garden, exploration of worm bins and compost piles, and a chance to meet and feed our chickens.

Visits occur at pre-scheduled times. Our visits are held rain or shine, with the exception of strong winds and dangerous conditions. We encourage children and adults to dress appropriately, with closed toed shoes, rain gear when needed, hats, sunscreen, water, snacks, and any other materials needed to stay comfortable and safe on the farm. We currently can not provide any of these materials. Our tours will begin promptly at the designated time and will begin by the yellow-tent Farm Stand.”

If you are interested, RSVP and secure your spot on the trip! Children are welcome!
